DFWET World Priest Day Dinner 2019

Please join us in honoring our priests, seminarians and deacons.
World Priest Day is a celebration and affirmation of the men who commit their lives to the Lord and the Church via the Sacrament of Holy Orders. It is an opportunity for Catholic parishioners to thank, affirm and share their love and support for our priests.
As Catholic laity, we share a common journey with the dedicated men who have said “yes” to the Lord and the Church through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Worldwide Marriage Encounter established World Priest Day to honor priests. The focused mission and purpose is to celebrate and affirm the men who commit their lives to the Lord and the Church through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. In your honor, the World Priest Day celebration dinner will be on Friday, October 26th. We hope you will join in this celebration.
Our local DFWET Worldwide Marriage Encounter celebration of World Priest Day will be on Friday, October 25th at Santa Clara Catholic Church in Dallas from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. There are several ways that you can get involved!
PRAY! - When our WWME community celebrates the World Priest Day dinner on October 25th, the priests attending will receive a “spiritual bouquet” – which contains a summary of prayers said on their behalf. We ask that you and your family decide how you would like to pray for our priests over the next few weeks, and keep track of each prayer to add to the “bouquet”. The prayers of all WWME families in the DFWET area will be added to the “bouquet”. For example, if you say the rosary as a couple, this would be counted as 2 rosaries, if your child does it with you, that would be 3 rosaries., etc. What a powerful expression of our support of our priests and religious! Please see the attached form for ideas on different ways to pray for our priests. Please submit your totals for each prayer to John and Terry Bannerman at bannerman@dfwme.org by October 14th so that they can be totaled and included in the spiritual bouquets for the priests.
Donate - each sharing group is being asked to donate 3 bottles of wine (any kind) and 3 gifts (gift cards, baskets, etc) to be used as priest gifts on the night of the World Priest Day dinner. Please give your donations to your sharing group leader by Sunday, October 6th.
Invite - invite the priests from your parish to attend the World Priest Day dinner on October 25th. There is no cost for them to attend. We suggest you personally invite them. A sample invite that you can print and give them will be emailed separately from this email. Priests, Deacons and religious can RSVP by emailing alanbote7@yahoo.com no later than October 18th. If you are also attending, invite your priest to ride with you to the dinner!

Attend - we invite you to attend the dinner on October 25th and celebrate with our wonderful priests and other WWME couples. This is a fantastic evening of fellowship and great food! Tickets are $40.00 per couple. There will be a link sent out soon to register for the dinner.
