POSTPONED TO 2026. Pathways to the Stars Modeling Workshop - AZ

A Modeling Astronomy workshop designed for 6th - 10th grade science teachers


Description:    In this 54-hour Astronomy Modeling workshop, teachers in grades 6th - 10th will:
  • learn to use the tools and practices of modern astronomers
  • level-up your teaching practice - learn to use Modeling Instruction
  • earn graduate-level credit to advance on the salary scale
  • obtain access to robotic telescopes and observation time for you and your students
  • watch your students' confidence, competence, and math scores improve along with their interest in STEM careers

Location:  Phoenix, AZ

Dates:  June 23 - July 3, 2025
    
Costs: $900.00 ( or less, current;ly working on scholarship funding for all participants) 

Housing Options:  

Graduate level credits:  Graduate level credit is  available of the University of the Pacific ($79 each, to be paid directly to UoP)
