PD for Workshop Leaders - Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness - Part I*

As AMTA wants to make sure all Modeling Workshop leaders are educated on Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness, a series of PD sessions for leaders will be dedicated on the topic. Part I will be led by Scott Milam.

Please watch this video (starting at 6:14)  prior to the session made one of Scott's students last year about a psychology book, it would be a good prompt for a group discussion. 

Scott Milam currently teaches chemistry and IB chemistry HL at Plymouth High School in Michigan. Scott holds a BS and MS in Chemistry. He completed his initial training in modeling pedagogy in 2015, and led workshops in 2018 and 2020. Scott was the 2017 Michigan Science Teacher of the Year and was a 2019 PAEMST finalist.

*This PD series is for Modeling Workshop leaders only. Webinars on DEI are organized during the school year, open to all.

The Event page contains the description, date and time of the event, which was created either by the Administrator or Basic User.

The Administrators can edit and delete the Event as well as download it to the PC.
The Administrators cancreate and configure events using Admin - Events page.
