AMTA Book Club will discuss How Real Is Race?:  A Sourcebook, on Race, Culture, and Biology?

The discussion will be led by Tanea Hibler on October 15, 2020, 7-8 pm EDT.

Homework: Please have the first 6 chapters read!
Discussion Questions: 
  • What have you learned?  Hey how come I was never taught this in school?
  • Does this knowledge challenge your misconceptions?
  • Does this knowledge help you push against any conscious or unconscious biases you may have?
  • How do we explain biological differences?
  • How do we teach biological differences?
  • What is the role of culture in defining race?

The Zoom information will be shared in the confirmation message.

 

The Event page contains the description, date and time of the event, which was created either by the Administrator or Basic User.

The Administrators can edit and delete the Event as well as download it to the PC.
