Description:

 

Megan Bartley has 25 years of experience teaching the physical sciences at both the high school and middle school levels, and 8 years of experience using Modeling Instruction in her classroom.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Secondary Education from Western Michigan University.  She has served as a Science Department Chair at both public and private schools in Michigan and California and currently teaches Chemistry,  AP Chemistry, and Advanced Physics at Benzie Central High School.  Megan has facilitated Physics I and Chemistry I workshops in Los Angeles, Boston, and several cities in Michigan as a part of the Michigan Modeling Instruction Community. She will be facilitating the Chemistry I  workshop in Massachusets this summer. 


Chris Manor has 14 years of experience teaching chemistry, primarily at the high school level, as well as some community college teaching experience.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education.  He currently teaches honors, AP and organic chemistry in a public school 25 miles south of Nashville.  Chris has led Chemistry 1 Modeling workshops in Tennessee and Massachusetts.  He will serve as one of the leaders of a Chemistry 2 workshop in Massachusetts this summer.

Modules are $25 for current AMTA members and $50 for non-members.

Cancellation and refund policy:
If there is insufficient enrollment (fewer than 10 registrations), AMTA or the module leaders may elect to cancel the session.  In this event, the cancellation decision would be made one week before the module is scheduled to begin.  All those registered will receive a voucher for free registration for a future module.

If you find that you are unable to attend a distance learning module after you register and pay for a module, a voucher for free registration for a future session will be issued.  Cash refunds will not be issued.


 

The Event page contains the description, date and time of the event, which was created either by the Administrator or Basic User.

The Administrators can edit and delete the Event as well as download it to the PC.
The Administrators cancreate and configure events using Admin - Events page.
