Description:

Jeremy Secaur has 20 years of experience teaching high school physics, at the regular, honors, and AP levels. He holds a BS in Astronomy and a Masters degree in Teaching. Jeremy currently serves on the executive board of both the Ohio Section of AAPT and STEMteachersCLE, and will be a first-time Modeling Instruction workshop leader in 2019.

Scott Thomas has a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Education for Secondary Science both from the University of Notre Dame. He has been teaching at Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville FL, since 1999. In 2013, he was named the Notre Dame Alumni Association Educator of the Year. He has attended Modeling workshops for Mechanics, Light/Waves, and Leadership at FIU. He has help co-lead a workshop in the Boston area and likely one in Tampa this summer. He has used Modeling in standard and honors courses since 2013. He has used it in AP classes since College Board switched to AP1/2 in 2015.


Modules are $25 for current AMTA members and $50 for non-members.

Modules are conducted via Zoom videoconferencing software.  Login information will be sent to you a week before the start of the session.

Any handouts needed for the session will be shared prior to the start of the module.

Cancellation and refund policy:
If there is insufficient enrollment (fewer than 10 registrations), AMTA or the module leaders may elect to cancel the session.  In this event, the cancellation decision would be made one week before the module is scheduled to begin.  All those registered will receive a voucher for free registration for a future module.

If you find that you are unable to attend a distance learning module after you register and pay for a module, a voucher for free registration for a future session will be issued.  Cash refunds will not be issued.


 

The Event page contains the description, date and time of the event, which was created either by the Administrator or Basic User.

The Administrators can edit and delete the Event as well as download it to the PC.
The Administrators cancreate and configure events using Admin - Events page.
