I'm considering replacing my exisiting French doors (with a single light) with separate light French door so that I might install a pet door. It's going to be costly. Which is ok if its stable and looks good.

here is the website seling these:

Has anyone seen one of these? Or had one of these? I'm getting varying opinions from door companies. I really prefer NOT to install the doggy door through a wall...

Be sure to get one that has electronic lock that has a remote on the collar. My girl friend had a door without lock and came home one night to find 3 coons in the house and a terrible mess!

M3carr- That is fear of mine, esp b/c I had a mamma and 4 baby raccoons living in my chimney 2 years ago. (Make sure your chimney cap is secure - they apparently love chimneys for the temperature moderating effect).

Did that happen to your sister in Dallas?
