| Post subject: | Eucalyptus plant |
I just bought a Eucalyptus plant and the nursery didn't have much information on planting it other than it was a fast grower. It was listed as an herb, and I bought a very small 4 inch pot. Now I am wondering if I am planting something potentially toxic to other plants, and/or an invasive potentially large bush like tree. I love the scent and thought I could grow some of my own, but maybe not? I can't find much info on the plant as an herb, other than what to use it for and there seems to be many varieties. Anyone know what I might have? It looks more like a vine at this point, but very true to the scent and leaf is round like the kind you find in the craft store. |

Thanks, but that is the problem, there was not any additional information on the tag to tell me which kind I have and the nursery did not know either. I should have known and left it for him to figure out I guess! Thanks for the reply, I guess I will plant it and see what happens. |

I would put it in a pot that you can shelter in the winter. Many of these plants will freeze. |

Have the nursery where you bought the plant contact their wholesale supplier. It is nonsense that they can't supply you with this info. Someone is just being too lazy! |
