Many moons ago I remember planes flying overhead dropping some sort of mist. We wondered aloud if they were spraying water on all the vegetation. Of course we weren't told at the time and was many years later we found it was a chemical called Agent Orange. Marines are always the last to know, along with the public. Although many suffered the consequences from the spraying (well documented by now), I was fortunate enough to only lose my hair and be unable to produce kids and thankfully as of yet not come down with anything else like so many others. That alone has migrated me into being organic, if for nothing else and without research, as a statement that I don't need chemicals to do my work for me. |
