Post subject:  Recommended sprayer for Garrett Juice

The Garrett juice I just bought at Calloway's has stopped up the sprayer after just a few squirts. I poured some into another spray bottle and had the same issue. I've tried rinsing the sprayer, holding under plain water to clean from the other end, etc. Is there another spray bottle that anyone recommends that might work better?

The one I have is NOT a concentrate, btw. I double checked to see if that was the problem.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you diluting it? A couple of ounces per gallon? Shaking the bottle before you pour it in?

Mix your spray slurry up real well and you should have no problems. I sometimes have a liquid fertilizer (a barely organic called Hasta grow that I'm slowly using up) that sometimes clots and blocks the sprayer. I stop every so often, screw off the lid, carefully pull the tube out of the tank and knock the clump off the bottom and put it all back. You could simply pour your ingredients through a small mesh screen into the pump canister.

Thanks for the idea. This is a commercial product that Howard Garrett sells. It is not a concentrate (you are supposed to be able to spray right out of the bottle. I will try diluting it some though, just to see if that helps.

I use his commercial Garrett Juice, but I always get the concentrate. Using hose end sprayers and pump sprayers always takes some adjustments along the way. :)

Shake product up really well, pour through a fine screened filter or paper towel & that should help. If using paper towel, throw in compost with the clumps it filters out. Added 4-17; an old rag, cloth or towel works best. It doesn't clog as easily as paper towel. You can rinse rag & dump the water in yard or garden.
