Am I the last to read about this product? :? IMO a step in the right direction of the Triple R (Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle) mantra some of us try to observe. It looks like Marshall Grain may be the only local (D/FW) resource. Why are more retail outlets not joining in?

You two can keep insulting each other: I find it amusing! The reason for my post is that these Cow Pots are grossly overpriced. I wouldn't waste my money on this particular pot of cow c***.

khwoz, maybe I'm missing something but how did dchall insult me or I him? But glad you're amused.

As for the pricing I didn't pay any attention. My focus was the concept of removing from the refuse cycle, nursery pots. I'll maintain that it is a step in the right direction. Sometimes things like this and organic foods, fertilizers, ammendments etc. and etc. do have a slightly higher costs.

Let me retract the "insult" part; sorry. I had a bad day & your posts amused me. The cow pots sound like a great idea which is why I checked them on-line. The price totally turned me off; I'll stick to clay pots.

I think we are still experiencing the infamous internet miscommunication. I too use clay pots for "patio/porch" plantings. At least the way I read the intended use for this product is to replace the plastic nursery pots that are rarely recyclable (a huge resource waste and something of a landfill problem. These "cow pots" can then go from nursery directly into the ground.
