Compost tea is new to me. Made some and will start to use it. How long can you keep compost tea? How long should it be aerated? I used cotton burr compost. Is there a better one?

Here is a link to a Bruce Deuley video. He tells you how to make his compost tea brewer, how to make your compost tea and how to use it. Captain Compost is also very good source of compost tea knowledge.

I make my compost tea in 5 gallon plastic pastry buckets I get from the grocery store and either burlap sacks from a local coffee company or net onion bags.I use my compost from my own pile, fill the bags up and place one in ea. bbucket and then fill with either rain water from off the roof or from the faucet, fill it all the way up to the top and then I let it sit from 1 week to at least 1 month,I also make 5 buckets or more at one time.

Compost tea deteriorates as soon as you stop aerating and feeding it. The purpose of compost tea is to multiply the microbes from the compost. You do that by feeding and aerating. When you stop feeding, they stop multiplying. When you stop aerating, they start dying and get replaced by disease causing microbes.

In short, use it all as fast as you make it. It does not keep.
