Hard to say without seeing the tree as a whole. Leaves could be a form of Ash, from their shape. |

Does look like green ash. If fall color is yellow, that's probably the answer. Texas ash has more orange and red colors. |

I vote for ash. Since you thought it was a live oak, its more than likely to be Arizona ash. Both trees developed a rounded crown on a short trunk. Also, be sure to identify the seed. Tree Dude |
