I'm not aware that they HAVE to be grafted. There're other pecans in the area around here that set fruit fine, so I'd think it'd still get what it needs. Anyone on here have pecans on their property that might have advice for Squid? |

Neighbors have young pecan trees & they didn't produce until 3 yrs after planting. Patty |

I just had a county extension agent out to my place to look it over and make recommendations before I get started, and he mentioned growing pecans, but he said they had to be grafted--that was the first time I'd ever heard that! So what's the bottom line? |
