Beautiful! Usually ginko's have a very straight and strange form that is a little off putting to me but yours has a great shape.

Yesterday I was working in the bed under the tree-always careful not to plant deep stuff & never close to the trunk.

Then noticed there's HARDLY ANY ROOT FLARE!! Talk about not looking in your own back yard! (well, front yard too)

Carefully scraped away excess soil & sure enuf-BIRDS NEST ROOTS!!
Gads...Guess it's always been that way. Now I'm expecting it to grow another 2 feet this spring.
