Any suggestions for the black dirt\rock combination of the Prosper area? |

Texas Ash does great in those conditions, so does Burr Oak. Both grow quickly and yet are good strong trees. Shatung Maple deos well there too. |

My son wants to plant a red oak in our yard. Do they do well in the north San Antonio area where I will be lucky to dig a large hole through the limestone and rock found here? I think a Burr Oak would do better any help? |

Southern Red (Shumardi) or Texas Red would be fine, but yes in very heavy limestone, Burr would be better. |
