Post subject:  Identify trees from this bark?

Can someone identify the trees from these barks?

The short log comes from a deciduous tree.

I've attached some leaves for the long log; this tree is an evergreen.

I'd like to know the wood I'm using for my stove.

Thanks
eddie

Live oak (identified by the leaves) appears to be evergreen, but it in fact does lose leaves through the year and replace them continually.

Any wood you use in your stove ought to dry for a year or so --if it's green it will pop and snap an awful lot. Maybe keep that wood for next winter.
