What are the top Japanees maple varieties to plant in the dfw area. The wife wants a taller version possible 15 feet tall.

also the area to be planted will recieve sun from morning until 2 pm. Ive been told by some nurserys that this is too much sun and they my not survive the summer. Is this so

change that to varieties of redbud. The boss changed their mind and wants a redbud instead

Is this tree going in a shady place? Both are understory trees, but the redbud can take full sun also.

Oklahoma redbud would be my recommendation and the Japanese maple that could take those conditions is the species green Japanese maple.
