I saw the following statement under Howard's Organic Advice Library under the Citrus Trees where he says the following = "Root knot nematodes can be easily controlled with orange rinds ground into a pulp and worked into the soil."
My question is does anyone have any idea how many rinds you need to grind up to apply to the soil?

Like with most organic soil amendments, the rates can vary. I have used about 5 lbs per 100 sq ft. The key is kicking the biological activity of the soil up so the healthier the soil, the less volume of citrus peels needed. Using the peelings with molasses and/or cornmeal is probably ideal.
