I've planted a variety of saplings around the property and wonder how much and how often I need to water them?

Weeping Willow
Red Maple
Persimmon

These trees are only 18" tall at most.

Assuming they are planted at the proper depth, and that you mulched around them, I would water deeply once a week and keep an eye on them in really hot weather. You don't want the roots to dry out, but you also don't want them to rot. Did you plant these trees using the almost bare root method that Howard has promoted for a while now?

Proper tree planting
