 Post subject: Tree repair

I have an older American Elm. Several limbs on one side have been lost from recent storms. To balance it back out do I just need to take the ends off of the remaining limbs, particularly those actually touching the house and shop roofs, or is there more to it?
Additionally, there are several cavities where limbs were removed many years ago. How should they be treated? Currently they are "bird/squirrel houses". Do I need to clean them out and fill them with foam, or something?
Can anyone recommend me to an arborist in Arlington, TX?

You may need to cut the limb farther back or all the way off. If you have not cut limbs in a tree before, I would recommend having an arborist do the job, help you or at least look at the tree. Here is a quality arborist in Arlington:
