We have cedar elms that appear healthy one week and the next, their leaves are turning brown and falling off. I lost two last year and I have two more dying now. There are beetle like bugs on them and ant-like bugs that are red with stripes. The branches are still green under the bark. These were planted 8 years ago from 12" whips and the two that died last year were 6" caliper and 12-15' tall. One that is now sick is 8" and 25' tall. The other is 1 1/2" and 8' tall. Back in the spring, there were white patches on the ground under the bigger tree. I assume some type of fungus.
Is there anything I can do at this point to save these trees?????
