So, am I out of luck? The arborist has given the tree about a year to live. I'm devastated that it appears we will lose the tree, but I have yet to find a way to save it.

How old is the tree? Thought about any replacements yet? If that's the diagnosis, then yeah, it's probably done.

I believe the tree is older than 40 years. I haven't come up with any replacements yet...all I know is that I don't want soft wood and it has to be resistant to the same disease since it will go in roughly the same location. I'm open to recommendations :wink:
