 Post subject: kidneywood tree

i have a 4 1/2 ft. kidneywood tree that has been in the ground now for about 4yr. for the pst two yrs. it does not leaf out completely. it is healthy, but i am noticing a decline in leaves and some twiggy branches with no leaves at all. what am i doing wrong, or what do i need to do.

make sure the tree is in full sun, does not get overwatered and is not buried too deep.
