Post subject:  Longleaf in Austin?

I have a potential problem. A loved, former employee’s widow has moved to Austin and wants some trees from Huntsville. She was talking to somebody and found out that we had some longleaf pine, so that is what she asked for  . Aside from the fact that it will be 250 miles out of its range and many soil type and formations away from where it should be, what can I tell her to do? As I am not particularly familiar with the Austin soils, I am telling her to make sure it is slightly acidic, keep the seedlings watered, and talk to the local Texas Forest Service Urban Forester. Does she need to add N and P to the soil (organically of course  )?

I’m sure it will grow there; I’m just worried about low long and how healthy. The trees will be just north of Anderson Ln. and Lamar Blvd. in North-Central Austin.
