Post subject:  Source for Liquid Molasses

Thanks to the helpful folks at Rabbit Hill Farm, I was able to find a decent source for molasses! The local feed stores wanted close to $5 per gallon for theirs. Based on Robert Bard's messages for obtaining molasses for about $1 per gallon, I was really searching.

Contact Randy Mosley - Enviromate, Inc. in Fort Worth at: 817-707-5282.

They also have liquid humates, 30% vinegar and other products.

Very easy to work with, too!

30% vinegar? I think I would stay away from that. It is most likely made from petroleum distillates. The 10% is your best bet. 20% can sure burn you, I do not like to think about what the 30% would do!

Thank you for passing the information along. You are Miss Helpful, aren't you!

Post subject:  30% vinegar

Thank you for responding to my post.
Regarding the 30% vinegar, the gentleman said it was STRICTLY for weed control. No "beneficial qualities" like we're used to with plain apple cider vinegar.

Where we live, we are truly blessed with cactus, so I was thinkng real hard about dousing them with the stuff. Yep, am really tempted. But, I won't be doing it, of course.

If you wish to get rid of the cactus, do not throw it away; it is a great addition to the compost pile!

I did not call, but found a website under 'Enviromate'.
The brand name is 'Ag Organics' and I saw their products at Lowe's.

Of course, Lowe's has great prices, so it may be worth checking out.
If the day ever comes that Lowe's or Home Depot carries more organic products, they may put others out of business.

Marshall Grain is by far, the only store that consistently has the cheapest prices across the board.
