 our home was gutted and attempted to be treated for toxic mold 2years ago. now we have a front and back yard that is covered with a white mold (mostly)along with many mushroom type things. The dirt is mostly sand and molds there are 4 pine trees and 3 oaks. please if someone knows anything about turning this around I would be forever in your debt. I am afraid it is being brought into our home again. We live in the Texas metroplex by Johnson creek , if that makes any difference.

Overload,

Johnson Creek ? Are you in the City of Arlington?
1] Have you contacted the City Health Dept ?
2] Have you contacted the Mold Remediation Co. or your Insurance Co. about the continuation of the Mold at your home.
3] Whole ground corm meal may help; others will comment on this aspect.

I am going to move your post to the Gardener Exchange Forum as you will get more reviews to your question.

Good luck.

The white mold that grows outdoors is totally different from the black mold that grows inside your walls and under the flooring. You don't have to worry about mold being tracked into your house because there are thousands of mold spores in every breath of air you take. It's everywhere. All you have to do is make sure the right molds grow where you need them.

In your turf you can achieve instantaneous balance of mold and other microbes by applying 1/3 inch of compost to your soil. That works out to 1 cubic yard of compost per 1,000 square feet. Then feed the compost microbes with organic fertilizers. I like corn meal for lots of reasons, but in your case, since you're already sensitive about excess fungus on your property, corn meal kills any disease causing fungus in your yard. The application rate for corn meal is 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet and it can go down with the compost if you want. Get corn meal in 50 pound bags at feed stores for $3 to $8. Be sure to ask for ordinary corn meal or whole ground corn meal. There is another product that sounds like corn meal but it costs 6x more than ordinary corn meal. That product is corn GLUTEN meal - different product and different uses.
