I was trying to see how much rain we got in last nite's storm (.74" yippeeee) and found this neat clickable website http://www.srh.noaa.gov/fwd/forecastafm.html where you can click on your county and get information. You can also type in your city, state and get information. May be mundane information for some of ya'll out there but I still thought I would share.
Hugs,
Christina

For more localized information for your neighborhood you can download Weather Bug from Channel 5's website. It's free and can be setup to give you readings from stations all over your area. Select the one closest to you and you'll get up to the minute temperature, wind speed and direction, daily and monthly rainfall totals, barometric readings, humidity, dew point and more.

Dave and Christina,

Thanks for the weather sites. I really have been looking for the rainfall reports. I hope they have an acrhive for past years.

They have been added to my collection.

For those who need to watch the Gulf of Mexico from Texas to Florida here is a site I often refer to when needed.

It is: http://www.ih2000.net/ira/bmt-wth.htm

Checking around a bit, I came across another weather information desktop program very similar to WeatherBug called Ambient Weather. It too provides very localized information to your area provided there's a station in your neighborhood. With it I was able to find a station about a mile away from me and about 2 miles closer than with WeatherBug. Just another option.
