My Dalmation eats my landscape plants in the back yard. I've tried commercial products, orange oil, spraying her with water...nothing works. One person suggested putting orange peels around, but she ate those! Any suggestions?

You might try the hottest, cheapest dry pepper you can find to sprinkle around the plants. Also, spraying the plants with a hot pepper (habenero?)spray might help. I wouldn't use garlic or orange oil (as in garlic-pepper spray for bugs) since some dogs seem to like the taste. My neighbors have dogs that drink my compost tea and eat stuff out of my compost pile (it is mostly spent manure compost & waste succulent material). I feel sorry for them if they get their noses in the fine stickers! An electric fence will work also. It doesn't look too good sometimes and is an additional hassle to maintain.

I have to agree with the above - when my great dane was a puppy she was headed down the path of being a garden destroyer, favoring the herbs of course, and I used both dry pepper flakes as well as a pepper tea and it only took one bite - she never did it again.

LOL, yup.

Pepper + Pooch = Dog looking for something else to do.

Works great for kitties too that are looking for houseplants to chew on.
I'd use a combination of Garlic and Pepper. Garlic tends to fdrive off cats and no dog's gonna try anything that tastes like Habenero more than once. My own mixture I use 4 garlics and 4 Habenero Peppers.
