I heard it advertised but have no idea if it works. What are your suggestions? Have you tried it? I know it was cheap but will it work? Thanks for your help!

Years ago the owner of Silver Creek Materials used to brag about his compost process. They recycled food and yard waste and made a point of pouring in discarded softdrinks, sports drinks, and I think it included beer and anything else (well waste from bars? Not sure where it came from).

Sugar and its various forms are well-received in gardens. I wouldn't buy any of those things to pour them in compost or gardens. Dry molasses or regular molasses is a much more concentrated form of liquid sugar, for the price, and is good when used as a fertilizer in the garden. You can add those things to your compost, but don't make a special trip or extra purchase for it. (But who has leftover beer or wine? If I don't drink it I cook with it.)
