Worm castings. my yard is so full. right now I am not growing vegies or anything to compost that I can use them. Any idea how much someone might buy them for. or how I could coral them into one area?? I would like them to be more benefical. My grass is not great either, I sure don't use any chemicals, it's all natural. any tips ?? thank you

Do you have other flowers or shrubs? The castings are a great fertilizer and can be used everywhere, including your potted plants. I would leave them in my lawn as well as it is fertilizing that too.

ok, I have a potted plant. good idea, thanks. The piles are a little frustrating to walk on as I go into the yard..they are big and everywhere. You can feel the raised ground & crunch as u step on them. I know they are benefical, too bad I don't have plants that could use them. Can they be put in a bag and make tea, what else goes in to making a fertilizer?

From your description, I'd say you have moles.

the piles look like dirt, they are castings. I have seen moles they raise up the turf without exposing dirt. I have also seen the worm, very big.

When was the last time you aerated your lawn? if it was a while back then I think its time you aerate your lawn again, you can rent a mechanical aerator from one of the construction equipment rental company present at the Home Depot and aerate your self. Aeration will help your lawn grow a lot better and will discourage any pests from living inside your lawn soil.
