Can anyone advise me on growing azaleas in the DFW area? I've just moved from SC, and am hoping there are some strains hardy in this hot, dry climate. Thanks in advance!

I have a shaded area in my flower beds that I would like to plant some azaleas. Can I plant in the fall or should I wait until spring?

Fall is much better. You'll have about 8 months to get them established before we get really hot again.
