Post subject:  Imidacloprid (Merit)

Imidacloprid is the active ingredient in several widely used insecticides. Merit Insecticide is used in commercial plant nurseries as well as in lawn and landscape insect control. Bayer Advanced branded insecticides are intended for the homeowner market and Premise insecticide is use for termites, grubs and other structural pest control. Aquatic species Imidacloprid is acutely toxic to adult fish at relatively high concentrations (over 80 ppm) with juvenile fish being considerably more susceptible.

The active ingredient in Advantage Flea Treatment is imidacloprid, a neurotoxin which has been known to cause very serious adverse health problems, including thyroid, liver, spleen, heart, kidney, lung, brain and adrenal damage in laboratory animals.
