Post subject:  Magnolia Jane trees suitable in Dallas soil and weather?

Hi. I bought a Magnolia Jane because of the beautiful large pink tulip flowers on the tree. I planted it today (March 18) and now I am reading that it may die if planted in direct sun.

The tag on the plant stated it required full sun which is where I planted it where it will receive full sun on the north side of the house. What do you think the likelihood that my tree will die in the Dallas hot summer weather even if I keep it watered? Thank you.

I don't know that particular variety, but I see a lot of magnolias in the Fort Worth area. Some are starting to bloom.

I sell those trees at a nursery and they can be in full sun. Water deeply once a week.
