| Post subject: | Where are the birds |
We live in Cooke County TX. We have lived at our house for 10 months and have always had large number of birds at all of our feeders. In the past month, we have had none! Is this normal, are they sitting on nests? Wondering how we get our feathered friends to return! |

I have seen a drop in activity as well, but not completely. I was told the females are incubating. |

Thanks for the reply. I thought that the females may be sitting on nests, but they still need to feed (at least I would think), but where are the males? I see SOME birds flying around our house, but for the life of me I can't figure out why they don't come to the feeders. I even went out and bought new feed thinking something was wrong with what I was putting out.[/u] |

Some of your birds may have been winter residents and have headed north. Most of my goldfinches are gone. Warmer weather also brings an increase in natural food supplies. |
