The Texas Rio Gande Valley is my favorite place to go birding. There are a lot of easy-to-see colorful species as well as a chance to see a few rare ones as well. And you often meet birders from all over the world, so it is a fun trip.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I read in maybe Nature Concervacy? that the Rio Grande area has more bird species than nearly anywhere.
