Birds often nest on farm equipment or other inconvienent locations. Many soft-hearted people do not want to disturb the birds but want to know long until the baby birds leave the nest. While it varies by species, here are a couple of guidelines for typical backyard songbirds. Eggs take about 2 weeks to hatch after incubation commences. After they hatch, baby birds take around 2 more weeks to grow to the point they leave the nest (fledge). |
