I saw one of these beauties while hiking in Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose on March 24th,2005. I have never seen one. Only after doing a search for birds in my zip code at www.enature.com did I find out what it was.

Incredible! Has anyone ever seen one of these!

I was in the Lower Rio Grande Valley several years ago looking for that exact bird. After 3 days of wonderful birding without seeing one, we had to leave. As we were walking out of the park I was observing some Anhinga's sunning. A small bird landed right next to me no more than 5 feet away - it was a B+W Warbler.

Nice photo!

Black and white warblers are an early warbler migrant throughout Texas, and some even nest in parts of the state.

Their call is a high-pitched weetsee, weetsee, weetsee that is easy to remember once you hear it.
