There are about 40 different species of toucans. Some small ones are known as toucanets and others as Aracaris. They are found from Mexico to South America.

This Emerald Toucanet was photographed in Costa Rica by my friend Glenn Bartley. It is about 13 inches long. I have seen this species in Mexico and hope to photograph it myself in Costa Rica in about 10 days.
