A friendly Red-tailed Hawk has been visiting my backyard. My only photo is from the back, but you can get a glimpse of the red tail.
Note the white areas on the back. They almost form a 'W" - this is a good field mark for identifying Red-tailed Hawks from a distance when all you can see is the back.

A company has just introduced a mount that will let me connect my iPhone to my 600 mm Canon lens. I am a little skeptical about how well it will work but may give it a shot, the cost is $250 so not cheap. I'll wait and see what kind of reviews I find.
