Our friends at Burgundy Pasture Beef are looking for a new employee to train in meat cutting and other duties.
Wendy Taggart sent me the information below with basics:

"Actually it is not really full time right now, but will be some weeks (25-40 hours per week). But for the right person, I would guarantee them 40 hours per week. I am willing to train (cutting meat is not a common skill nowdays). I would really like to find someone who has a bit of passion for food!! If I could find the right person - they would have the opportunity to learn all phases of our business from packaging to waiting on people and eventually perhaps get involved in cooking, recipe formulation, etc.

For someone we would invest in to train - starting pay would be $8.00/hr "...and then she adds there will be merit raises.

Jon and Wendy Taggart are fine, intelligent, fair people and wonderful employers. The employee they had in this position moved out of the state due to unrelated issues, so they need a replacement right away.

Check out their organization at at www.burgundypasturebeef.com,
Email them at burgundy@alltel.net, go by their wonderful
Burgundy Boucherie
800 McDuff Ave
Grandview, Texas 76050
or give them a call at 817-866-2247

and tell them you saw the information on the DD website, posted by me!
:D Good luck, ya'll!

Can you cut meat with a baby on your hip? I would love to learn these skills. Not to mention I love to cook. Maybe I will be able to do something like this in the future.

Yes, I think you'd be excellent. Check your private messages for more on the matter.
