Hi everyone, I'm a backyard vegetable gardener in Allen. I'm up to 7 raised beds as of last year, getting a little better at making things grow, but still run into trouble. I seem to remember at one time NOT being able to use this forum, so I'm glad to see it is open to everyone now. I'm planning on building an aquaponics system this year. Besides this website, does anyone else have a favorite source of local vegetable gardening information? |

Hi Brian, and welcome. I don't know about "local" but I like checking into Dave's Garden. The plant files often have comments from people in this area and I have found that very useful. I'm going to watch this thread and see if anybody else joins in who does have a local source they like. Happy Gardening! |

Besides this website, does anyone else have a favorite source of local vegetable gardening information? _______________ Hi Brian, I just thought of something. You might want to post this question in the 'Gardener Exchange' forum. More people might 'see' it there. Good luck! Char Harris Flower Mound, TX |

Thanks for the responses! I somehow failed to come back and visit here in a timely manner. I have started the process of creating a meeting place online for all things related to vegetable gardening for folks living in the DFW area. Right now, it is an Internet forum, with plans to add more 'stuff' in the future. (http://northtexasvegetablegardeners.com/forum) Everyone is welcome to check it out. I've added lots of little bits of info already, but the more people who participate, the better. -Brian |
