Hi Ya'll
New to this forum and just introducing myself. I live in a very rural area. Sixteen years ago I was the first to set up house in what had been a cow pasture for hundreds of years and had been subdivided. Now there are a few of us out here but the acerage is a minimum of 5. I have almost 12. So there is some room to roam. I had tried organic gardening (vegetable) when I first moved out here but lost that battle due to ants, moles, rabbits, grasshoppers and run off. After all these years now, I have one raised bed that is 28' X 24'. This is the third year of it's existence. It's GREAT! I still battle nature but have a much better grip on it now! I fill it with compost, mushroom dirt and what is natural out here which is a sandy loam. Also cow patties and chicken droppings! So basically i'm just trying to learn more. I'm kind of a hit or miss gardner. I try and pray for the best. Now I want to expand and have some questions. Specifically about corn. I'll find the appropriate forum and post questions there. Thanks a lot and btw... love the mag.! :D
