Post subject:  Cornmeal Juice

Just saw in the latest edition of the "Dirt Doctor's Dirt" 2 references to spraying "corn juice" on plants, etc. to fight mildew. It said it was made by soaking cornmeal in water, and then using he juice as a spray. Is there any formula for this? How much corneal to how much water? How long do you let it soak in the cornmeal before using it?

Soak it at least an hour. More is better but that is usually enough. How warm/cool it is around where you soak makes a difference too; try room temperature, considering that to be at least 70 F. It has soaked long enough when it has a milky, opaque look. That'll let you know you have soaked enough of the material you want from the cornmeal.

I can find Corn Glutten Meal. Can I make juice with Corn Glutten?
Would that produce the same results?

Thanks
Fred
