I was wondering how long compost tea will last..I have 5 gals. with an aerator pumping air through it.. It has been 20 days and just haven't found time to use it yet..

Keeping the air running is good. I would add a little molasses and liquid seaweed to keep the boilogy healthy.

It has begun to smell with sort of a sweet off smell..I have put molasses and have just purchased seaweed..for ten days it just sat there until I put the molasses in it and over night it desolved most of the solids, amazing!!.I will put seaweed in there..should I add more manure compost ...can I pour it in my older compost pile straight with out hurting anything?? This is all new to me but after years of spraying cotton with anything up to paraquat and 8 years in greenhouse production where I sprayed all chemicals including fungicides and now after 10 years in the dog grooming and boarding with small non profit animal rescue where I have had to spray animals and land for fleas and ticks , now I am almost totally organic here and feel so much better... I use the Natural Groomer or Harco out of Crowley for all my shampoos and the Citrus dip...I want to ask You about Frontline flea and tick spray..it does not go into the blood stream suposedly but I have found it a great relief from useing the Dips and Cattle sprays...Frontline is the only chemical I use that is not organic..How does it rate as for as organic goes...thanks judy
