How long can garret juice and garlic pepper tea be stored? Can these foliar sprays be used on herbs that will be eaten? Is there a recommended way to wash edible plants if an organic foliar spray has been used on them?

Thanks.

I personally would never store an organic gardening tea longer than 10-14 days. Any non-aerated tea will go totally anaerobic, and possibly stink, and cause other problems over 10 days. Any tea or tea remains, older than 10 days, gets recycled through my hot compost piles.

Only totally aerobic teas are 100% safe, pleasant smelling, and highly microbial in beneficial aerobic bacteria and fungi, for building healthy soils and plants. Some anerobic bacteria can harm or kill plants, if not diluted first, or if abused in their application as a foliar spray or soil drench.

Can a person get sick from making or using the organic recipes or eating a vegetable or plant that has been sprayed with an organic foliar recipe, especially if it was stored for a long time?

Is there a recommended way to wash these vegetables or plants (i.e. herbs) before eating them?

Maybe I missed it, but it seems important to know how long these recipes can be stored and used.

Thanks

That's a great question! I was reading on www.intlctc.org, (the international tea experts association site), that aerated teas are so safe to humans, that if a child accidentally drunk it, it wouldn't kill the child, but he or she could be constipated for about 24 hours because of the beneficial soil/composting microbes!

I sometimes use my aerobic teas 2-3 times a week on my heavy feeders, as a foliar/soil drench using just a narrow drink bottle and a 5 gallon bucket to transport the diluted tea to all my crops on my 3 acre farm.
