Over the last four days something has made it's way through my vegetable garden, devouring my squash and bean plants one by one. They have stripped them of all leaves leaving just the stem. There are no signs of rodents, slugs/snails or any other pest I can find. I have been spraying with insecticidle soap but each morning another plant has been stripped. I have checked under leaves and made sure there are no obvious hiding places for critters. I have set out beer bait in case it was slugs/snails and sprayed liquid fence around the perimeter of my garden hoping to deter any rodents. This is my first year with an actual vegetable garden and I have no idea what my next steps would be. My peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, strawberries and herbs all seem to be fine. Does anyone have any idea what could be doing this? I do have ants in the garden. Thanks!

Maybe striped or spotted cucumber beetles--look like yellow ladybugs..

do you see any tiny black droppings which would indicate a caterpillar?
