I have an enormous a large number of little black ants in one of my beds. They seem to favor my cucumbers and their blooms. I am worried because I have yet to see any fruit and I'm affraid they are eating the pollen.

I got a better look at the ants this morning. They are black/brown with banding on the abdomen. They look like Argentine ants (saw picture on a website) and act similarly. Will they eat the pollen, preventing germination of my plants?
