has anyone found a successful means of controlling carpenter ants? There's lots of conflicting opinion out there about whether or not bait is effective. And many different dusts. There's also not much info on Eco Exempt, a somewhat new method being used.
Thanks- gale

EcoPco WP-X is a good source for treatment for carpenter ants. Must be mixed very well but it works. Advanced Carpenter ant bait works good also but not organic but will control the problem in 21 days and has a small impact since it is a grainular.

EcoPco WP-X EPA 67425-25 (Rate .05 mix 2oz per gallon of water).

Advanced Carpenter Ant Bait EPA 499-370
Active ingredient ABAMECTIN B1 0.011
SIGNAL WORD CAUTION

Acts to reduce population of worker ants and can immediate halt in egg population resulting in colony elimination

Rate 8oz per 1/2 acre

Around structure lightly sprinkle the product evenly approx 1-2 feet wide around foundation.
