I have a lot of big black ants in my compost I just started,is this bad? |

If you look a little closer in your compost pile ,you might be lucky and see more than just ants.I've seen several different colonies of ants in my pile,along with cock roaches,sow bugs(pillbugs),gecoks and worms and compost grub worms.If you keep the pile moist to wet,the ants will usually leave.
